1. Use Sunscreen!
This one's so simple and yet so many people fail to do it. The best way to take care of your skin is to do the one thing that actually stops it from aging: protecting it from the sun.
UV Rays age you fast--especially if you're active and spend a lot of time outside. Sunscreen basically slows that process down, while also protecting you from skin cancer.
2. Get Rid of the Products at the End of the Day
We mean that literally, not metaphorically. Clean off the makeup. Even clean off the sunscreen. Give your skin time to rest at night -- it's important.
3. Look for the Right Ingredients
Look for the right level of SPF. See if there's retinols. See if there are antioxidants to protect you from metabolic products.
4. Choose the Right Treatments for Your Skin Type
There are a ton of lasers out there. Make sure you choose the right one. Do you need a more invasive laser like Fraxel to get the results you want? Or will a gentler treatment like IPL (which isn't quite a laser) be better for you?
5. Eat Right to Get Glowing Skin
Eat your leafy greens! Avoid sugar. Try to get your antioxidants in as well. While this is advice we've all heard, hearing it in the context of skincare might just get people to listen up.
